Meet the Richardsons

To celebrate the Richardsons' move to Hebden Bridge, Lucy decides to stage a huge birthday party for their daughter, Elsie. Jon is initially against the party, but is finally convinced to take part by a family friend.

The Richardsons return, their daughter has started swearing and the pair don't know who to blame. Johnny Vegas is directing the pilot for Lucy's sitcom and she starts learning how to drive. Meanwhile their neighbours, Emma and Damion are feeling the fame after being recognized for the first series.

Jon and Lucy give us a glimpse at their new home, and as Lucy does her best to impress their new neighbours, Jon has his eye on an old unloved pub.

Jon has a midlife crisis as his 40th birthday looms, and it doesn't help when Ben Elton is in the audience of his work-in-progress show. Meanwhile, Lucy meets Katherine Ryan.

Lucy breaks into the big time after her BAFTA nomination as UKTV want a proper A-list comedy name on the couple's show and are ready to splash the cash, but Jon has other ideas.
