Wire in the Blood

We meet Tony, a psychologist that gets inside of the minds of both killers and victims to aid the police in solving gruesome serial killings in Northern England.

Season 2 continues with Tony and Maggie, and introduces DCI Carol Jordan.

Tony Hill and the police search for a serial killer who has resurfaced after five years time and targets children from abusive homes. DCI Jordan is in hospital after being mugged and hit by a car.

Season 4 opens with a new DI, Alex Fielding.

When an 11-year old girl is seen being dragged into a car kicking and screaming, the police issue an Amber alert. As the minutes and hours pass by, they know their chances of rescuing the girl diminishes. As Tony Hill reviews the evidence however, he becomes less and less convinced that this is an abduction by a stranger and believes that the girl must have known her attacker. The missing girl's mother is overwrought and her stepfather has a conviction for assault. A sudden twist however changes the entire nature of the investigation leading Tony and DI Alex Fielding ...

Several bodies are discovered buried in wasteland. They range from all walks of life and ages but each body is incomplete and their hands have been tied. This leads Tony to suspect that a sadomasochism ring may be involved and leads him to the dominatrix Elektra, who tells him about her clientèle. Sometimes the mildest people outwardly have the darkest secrets.
