Crime
Le Havre, France. The city’s at war as local mobsters and petty gangsters fight over territory, while the police do their best to put an end to the drug trafficking that holds sway over town. Set on a backdrop of social misery, the cases followed by dutiful Inspector Faraday and Paul Winckler, his former partner with completely opposite methods, combine gripping realism and riveting investigations.

Faraday investigates the death of an artist-activist who was chained to the rails of a funicular and subsequently run over.

The skeleton of a young boy is found in a metal hatch of an old trawler.
Season 4
A body is found in Bazza Swaty's swimming pool, and he tries to hide it. He stubbornly refuses to defend himself, and Captain Dardenne takes advantage of this to nail Bazza, instructing Faraday to go after him, while sidelining Winckler.
Season 5
A man is found dead, shot in the head, in his car near a beach. The precision of the shot suggests an execution carried out by a sniper from a significant distance, leading the investigators, Faraday and Winckler, to search for a long-range shooter who is causing panic in the city.
