While attending a Hollywood premiere with a famous action star, a crazed fan pulls a gun—but her movie hunk turns into a coward, and it's Vallery who becomes the hero. Suddenly, she's thrown into a world of action and danger as owner of a Hollywood protection agency, Vallery Irons Protection (V.I.P.), taking risks to protect others at a price few are willing to pay.

Season 1
Vallery Irons is thrown into the role of bodyguard to the stars when while on her date with a celebrity at a film premiere he cowers behind her when a gunman appears, she saves him. Her date tells everyone that she's a hired bodyguard rather than risk embarrassment by revealing the truth. A bodyguard agency that caters to celebrities soon hires her as their boss. The agency is renamed V.I.P. (Vallery Irons Protection) and with her now part of her team they feel pretty safe. On her first day on the job however a militia group enter the building where the agency is located wanting to kill Vallery and her then date but now first client.
Season 2
Tasha goes to meet a man but he shows up dead. She checks his pockets and finds a microchip in a little plastic bag. Kay cracks it open to discover that it's in Russian. According to Tasha it's a list of Tregoran sleeper spies. Tregoran was a scientist who would brainwash ordinary people and turn them into unwilling assassins who could be activated by a codeword or phrase.
Tasha then goes to a museum to meet up with her ex-husband, a man known only as The Owl, to see if he can help her. As they leave two men attack them but are soon defeated. Val, Nikki and Quick show up and Tasha informs them that she's on the list of Tregoran sleeper spies. They decide to take Tasha off active duty because the wrong word or phrase can set her off. They have to monitor her every move.
A man calls to meet with Tasha but they decide to send Val undercover posing as Tasha to meet with them. The men tell Val the codeword thinking it will set her off but since she isn't Tasha it doesn't. Her cover being bl
Season 3
Val is selected to be a contestant on ""Danger Island"", a new reality show where six people have to survive on a deserted island in order to win two million dollars, but when a contestant is killed on the pilot episode V.I.P. are called in to investigate. Jeff Groom, a network executive, says that since the island is already pre-rigged with camera's they only send along two crew guys with digi-cams and the show's producer so Quick volunteers himself and Nikki.
Once on the island however two contestant and the show's producer are killed and another contestant has his brains fried from the inside but he manages to survive. After Quick mentions one of the weapons used by the killer Kay hacks into some military files and discovers that the killer is a Major Ving Talbot, an army weapons designer who is believed dead, who claims that the army prematurely tested his prototypes and on their own men as well.

When Relic goes missing from Foam V.I.P. decide to check it out and they discover that he's taking college classes. Val goes to talk to him but he acts as though he doesn't know until she saves him from an assassin. He tells her that he's working undercover trying to uncover a bookmaking operation. She offers V.I.P.'s services since she probably led the assassin to him and V.I.P. go undercover as members of the faculty. Kay goes undercover as a student and is the butt of a practical joke by a sorority sister.
