Thanks to his police officer father's efforts, Shawn Spencer spent his childhood developing a keen eye for detail (and a lasting dislike of his dad). Years later, Shawn's frequent tips to the police lead to him being falsely accused of a crime he solved.
Now, Shawn has no choice but to use his abilities to perpetuate his cover story: psychic crime-solving powers, all the while dragging his best friend, his dad, and the police along for the ride.

Season 1
Thanks to a childhood spent with a police officer father, Shawn Spencer possesses an incredible photographic memory and notices seemingly insignificant details. These traits allow him to spend his jobless days providing the police with mystery-solving tips—but his knowledge soon makes him a suspect. In order to clear his name, the unlikely sleuth declares that he has clairvoyant abilities and launches his own investigative agency, Psych, with his best friend Gus.
Season 2
Shawn and Gus go undercover as talent show contestants to investigate a number of failed attempts to kill one of the judges.

Season 4
Shawn and Gus spot an art thief whom Lassiter has been trying to arrest for years. Season 5
When the daughter of a Chinese Triad family disappears, Shawn and Gus take on the case.
Season 6
Shawn stumbles across a dead body at the British consulate's home while working a case to recover a stolen "Star Wars" collector's item. In order to get the police on the case, Shawn claims he had a vision of the murder and puts his reputation as a psychic on the line.
Season 7
After Henry takes a bullet to the chest and is rushed to the hospital, a spiteful Shawn seeks revenge on the shooter and everyone else involved in the scandal.
Season 8

Roday and Hill are probably the best comedic duo in modern history. The way they play off of one another means that you are going to laugh at something in every episode, and you can't that about, well, almost any other television show in modern history.
But, it goes beyond that, the show makes you feel bad for Maggie Lawson, it really does. She has her moments. She has her one liners, she has her laughs, but she is the straight man in a cast that's hysterical. She has to keep a straight face and be the relatable character when she's surrounded by hilarity.
That has to be hard, especially given that her partner is his own kind of funny. The M.E. is hysterical, and even Bernson has his moments.
Start to finish the series is hysterical.
