In the teeming, multicultural metropolis of modern-day London, a seemingly straightforward missing-person case launches a down-at-heel private eye into a dangerous world of religious fanaticism and political intrigue.

I found myself far more interested in the romantic subplot's flashback **sub**-subplot than the actual core plot of the private investigator story. But that one tiny little part of the movie is only explored so far as it needs to so that it may service the movie at large. And the movie at large, I'm afraid I cannot give a passing grade to, as much as I would have liked to for Riz Ahmed and Billie Piper.
_Final rating:★★ - Had some things that appeal to me, but a poor finished product._
