Captain Marvel (2019) was an interesting watch, but it didn't fully hit the mark for me. The plot felt like it was trying to do too much at once, juggling an origin story, cosmic warfare, and humor without giving enough time to really develop Carol Danvers as a character. Instead of making me care about her journey, the movie just told me she was powerful and expected that to be enough. There were definitely some cool moments, but the pacing was uneven, with scenes that dragged and others that felt rushed. The directing was solid in terms of keeping things visually engaging, but it lacked the depth needed to make the emotional beats land. The cinematography was well done, especially in the action sequences, but at times it felt like the movie was trying too hard to make every scene look flashy instead of focusing on storytelling. The performances were a mixed bag, Samuel L. Jackson carried a lot of the energy, and the supporting cast did well, but Brie Larson's portrayal of Carol felt distant, which made it hard to connect with her character. The script didn't help much either, relying more on quippy one-liners and exposition rather than giving the characters room to breathe. The sound design and score were decent but not particularly memorable. The music choices leaned heavily on nostalgia, which worked in some moments but felt forced in others. Action sequences had a good rhythm thanks to the sound design, but overall, the movie lacked a distinct musical identity. While Captain Marvel had its highlights, it felt more like a checklist of MCU requirements than a truly compelling superhero film. It's entertaining enough, but it doesn't leave much of a lasting impact.

Ok movie where she fights aliens and humans. They could have made more sense of the story. Captain Marvel was a man back then not a woman too.
